An Arborist license is REQUIRED to practice tree care in the state of Connecticut.

Trees are fairly self sufficient, but they do become diseased, grow old and decay and fall victim to environmental impacts. Sometimes they become too large and need to be removed. When a tree is in trouble, an Arborist is the person to call. Arborists are tree care professionals. They are trained in all aspects of woody plant health, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases, insect infestation and environmental problems. Arborists are licensed by the state of Connecticut and are required to stay informed and educated on the advances of tree biology, care and treatment.
